Friends of the Urban Rest Stop
FAQ
Q. What is the “Friends of the Urban Rest Stop?”
A. Anyone who supports the Urban Rest Stop in any meaningful way is a Friend of the URS. You can volunteer on one of the URS Committees, make an online donation, help with our advocacy efforts or simply become a fan of the URS on Facebook at www.facebook.com/urbanreststop. Our goal is it to recruit 5000 Friends of the URS by the end of 2010.
Q. What is the Urban Rest Stop?
A. The Urban Rest Stop provides a clean, safe and welcoming facility where individuals and families can come and use restrooms, shower and laundry facilities. In addition, the URS provides nursing services, haircuts and referrals to additional services. All services are provided at no cost to patrons. The Urban Rest Stop is at 1924 Ninth Avenue in Seattle. For more information, check out STATISTICS.
Q. How can I help?
A. The best and easiest way to help is to become a Friend of the URS by making an online donation. Our priority is to secure 5000 “Friends” giving donations of $10 per month. Giving $10 per month for a year would provide hope and a second chance for men, women and children.
You can also help by volunteering on one of the URS Committees. For more information regarding the URS Committees, check out VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES.
