In October 2007 LIHI built a health exam room at the Urban Rest Stop. We are now collaborating with Harborview Medical Center Downtown Programs to provide staffing by a public health nurse who will provide minor emergency first aid, preventative health care, pre-natal care, identification of more serious health issues, and referrals to other community health services. We expect to open the fully-staffed health room by June 2008.
